Friendship Team

Summer 2002

This summer we provided the opportunity for many to accomplish a mission in China. We heard God’s calling to send mission teams to many different orphanages throughout China. We took five teams to five different locations, June 7th to 19th. The places of destination were

• Shenyang Orphanage in Liaoning Province, which is a special needs orphanage;

• Lanzhou Children’s Orphanage in Gansu Province;

• Deyang Orphanage, Sichuan Province;

• Huazhou orphanage, Guangdong Province; and

• Xining Orphanage in Qinghai Province (near Tibet).

We were very excited to see what the Lord had in store for these orphanages and these teams during our visit. Thanks to everyone who prayed for us during our trip.

The trip to Shenyang cost around $1,750; Sichuan cost around $1,800; Langzhou cost $1,999; Guangdong cost around $1,750; and Xining cost $1,999. This price was inclusive of visa fees, all airfare, travel, hotel and food (Chinese food). Some people brought extra money for souvenirs.

During our trip we met underground church leaders, ministered in the orphanages where we blessed and were blessed by orphans, attended the only open church for Westerners in Beijing, went site seeing at the Great Wall, the Forbidden City, the Summer Palace, and Tian’ammen Square.

Our prayers were answered that God used us greatly in the lives of others. We were excited to see how God moved through these opportunities. We hope that you will prayerfully consider participating in our future mission trips.
