Our decision to adopt came to us after a lot of prayer and waiting upon the Lord for an answer. We had been married for 18 years, undergone years of infertility treatments and 2 miscarriages. The desire to be parents was so strong, we didn`t care if our little one was carried in my body or not. We had friends here in Bedford, Ky who had used A Helping Hand for their adoptions, and spoke so highly of the staff, that we decided to send off for information. The pictures of the babies triggered something our hearts and we felt God say, this is the way. In December we mailed in our application, and in May we sent off our dossier. After 14 months of waiting and a lot of prayer for patience, the call came on July 29, 2002. We were parents! On Sept 8, we were handed a sleeping angel who opened her eyes for a moment, looked at her new Mommy and Daddy, and peacefully went back to sleep. Our hearts were so full, we both thought we were going to burst. Our lives have not been the same. And we thank God every day for our blessing .We are going back in a few years to get a sister for Victoria. We can hardly wait. Kristin Wallace
