This year’s AHH picnic was a wonderful way to officially start off the summer. We had approximately 150 families which equaled to about 600 people who attended the event. It was a pleasure to see so many families all celebrating together. We had lots of fun playing games, doing face painting and dancing!

We all had many reasons to count our blessings. Since the picnic in 2007 there have been 177 children that have been united with families through AHH. Another blessing to count is that we were able to raise over $7000 dollars at this years picnic. This money is designated for our new programs, including our domestic program, and countries like Ethiopia and Peru. Those countries require that adoption agencies commit to a certain dollar amount of annual humanitarian aid so that we can be approved to work with the country. The funds we have raised will allow us to expand our ministry.
Without the help of each of you this would not have been possible. We also want to thank our generous sponsors for their support. This years sponsors were First Southern National Bank, UK Children’s Hospital, Corky’s Memphis BBQ, Mass Mutual, Sisters of Invention, Attorney Steven Marshall of Sherrow, Sutherland & Associates, PSC, The Sno Zone & Usborne Books.
